Guidance Units

1. Self -Awareness & Self-Management
Through the study of feelings, students will gain a better understanding of the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behavior of both self and others. Students will also learn strategies to manage strong feelings.

2. Responsible Decision Making
Through the study of decision making, students will be able to identify and differentiate the size of a problem and utilize expected strategies to solve the problem.

3. Social Awareness
Through the study of individual and group differences, students will understand what makes us unique and lessons will encourage the acceptance of all individuals without discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

4. Relationship Skills
Through the study of interpersonal relationships, students will develop communication skills necessary to foster and maintain positive peer and adult relationships.
