Concussion Information

What is a concussion: An injury to the brain caused by a bump or blow to the head.

Causes of a concussion: Sports related head injuries, motor vehicle accidents, fights and falls are the major causes of a concussion.  A fall at a playground can cause a concussion.

If you suspect your child has sustained an injury to their head, please have them evaluated by an MD to determine if they have a concussion. This is especially important if they complain of any head injury symptoms; which may include but are not limited to: headache, nausea, dizziness, disorientation to time & place, blurry vision, loss of consciousness.
